Nuclear Dawn is an upcoming post-apocalyptic video game that blends the FPS and RTS genres. It was originally announced in February 2006 as an amateur mod for the Source engine, but in April 2009 was revealed to have become a commercial project, still using Source, aimed at Windows PCs and the Xbox 360. It is unclear whether a retail release is planned.
Nuclear Dawn joins Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Natural Selection, The Ship, They Hunger: Lost Souls and Garry's Mod as former mods of Valve products that have become commercial projects. 

Interwave Games today announced that "Nuclear Dawn" is now scheduled for a release in September of this year. Additionally, players who pre-order the game, when pre-ordering is available, will be entered into the closed beta and may get a chance to participate as early as August.

"The game that’s been already on sale on Steam three times so far could not let April’s Fool day pass by without an announcement, and the only way to do so properly is to announce our new release schedule, along with some details on how to participate in the upcoming closed beta.

Nuclear Dawn will be released in September 2011. Which date, you ask? When it’s done, we say.Pre-orders will open sixty days before the release date, and players will be able to purchase the game as early as July 2011. Players who have pre-purchased the game will be automatically invited to the closed beta, and will be able to play Nuclear Dawn as early as August 2011. 

  

Magicka: Vietnam: It’s a little bit magic and a little bit Creedance Clearwater Revival. Kinda.  Magicka: Vietnam was released this past Tuesday, April 12th through Steam (and other online gaming services), and I couldn’t help but ask myself the same question: is this a joke?The answer to this question is a resounding… maybe.

While part of me enjoyed playing the Vietnam-themed add-on, another part of me was slightly offended, I mean the Vietnam War was a pretty dark time in American history. Obviously, poking fun, even when done in a tongue-in-cheek way, was still a little unsettling.

Before we begin, I should address the absolutely hellish time I had locating the Magicka: Vietnam content once it was downloaded through Steam. I had assumed (incorrectly) that it would be part of the standard adventuremode. After opening up a friendly Google search and visiting the links to similarily-confused gamers, I was able to determine that the Vietnam content was part of Magicka’s challenge mode content.

  

Serial original Dawn of War is a real time strategy game (RTS), which is very cruel and suspenseful that takes place in the universe of the ultra-futuristic, Warhammer 40,000. Game created by Tabletop Games Studio was complaining about the strength of the great Space Marines against Orks are violent, Eldar are workmanlike and the power of Chaos. Game series is getting extended with the addition of a fraction more, the single player campaign and multiplayer maps are continuously explored by the fans. Now, developer Relic Entertainment finally started working on Dawn of War 2 which looks very impressive, which will further enhance the original game with additional actions are more thrilling, while also bringing the game into a completely different direction. 

Dawn of War original offer an RTS gameplay that is not the same as in general formula (pooling resources, to make buildings, build units of combat and defeat the enemy) with the effective start of the game and more focused on action to build troops, to add certain upgrades at our unit and fight . Although the series Dawn of War 2 will continue to focus on gathering resources and more inclined slightly in the battle, the single-player campaign will change its focus. This time gamers will be more focus on the adventure story of a small group. You will be given more freedom free to upgrade unitmu with combat equipment dozen weapons, armor and other goods.

Of the existing battle demonstrations, shows that in this game there are some new aspects such as long-distance combat, melee combat and also the area that could be destroyed. One demonstration showed a battle between a bunch of Orks against the Space Marine where the Orks are easily defeated using long range weapons, which is then coupled with an attack of flying the Space Marine unit that has the ability to directly land on the enemy who were in the land and destroy the enemy to be a puddle of blood. 

There is no question, graphic Dawn of War 2 will be able to make the fight in this sequel looks more dynamic, brutal and spectacular. Additional land or areas that could be destroyed in this game will also add confusion to the battle area because in this game of buildings, bridges and also the protector can be destroyed to the ground. With all the extras that, no doubt that Dawn of War 2 will be quite promising, both as a new strategy game and also a bold step for a little more focus on the features in this game is somewhat similar to the RPG in the single player mode
